Koenigsegg Regera Takes Back 0-400-0 km/h Title

Koenigsegg Regera Sets New 0-400-0 km/h Record

The Koenigsegg Regera has once again set the world record for the fastest 0-400-0 km/h (0-248.5-0 mph) acceleration, completing the feat in just 28.81 seconds. The previous record was held by the Rimac Nevera, which set a time of 29.6 seconds in May 2023.

The Regera is a hybrid hypercar that uses a combination of a twin-turbocharged V8 engine and three electric motors to produce a total of 1,800 horsepower. The car's single-speed direct-drive transmission allows it to accelerate from 0 to 400 km/h in just 20.68 seconds.

The record was set at the RĂ¥da airfield in Sweden, and it was verified by RACELOGIC. The Regera was driven by Sonny Persson, a professional racing driver who is also a member of the Koenigsegg test team.

The Regera's 0-400-0 km/h record is a testament to the car's incredible performance. It is also a reminder that hybrid hypercars are now capable of achieving speeds that were once thought impossible.

The Regera is not the only hybrid hypercar that is capable of setting impressive acceleration records. The Rimac Nevera, the Porsche Taycan Turbo S, and the Lotus Evija are all capable of accelerating from 0 to 400 km/h in under 30 seconds.

As hybrid technology continues to develop, it is likely that we will see even faster acceleration records being set in the years to come.
